National rehabilition Centre http://www.nrh.ie/home.htm Moynalty Tidy Towns

This was our first event in July 2009 where a 50 mile fun cycle was undertaken to raise money for the above casue and in particular as a local man was undergoing rehabilitation in the hospital.   There was approximately 50 riders and we raised over 26,000 euro for this casue.

Westport run – May 2010 – for Moynalty Tidy towns

This was the clubs first major endurance spin and ended up being almost 150 miles as we took a diversion to avoid congestion due to a horse fair.  It involved a serious amount of preparation and was the making of the club as it gelled the riders into a cohesive unit.    This event required a lot of discipline to undertake the training and it culminated in several 80+ mile spins prior to the event.    One enduring memory of one of the training spin was the ice on the eyebrows in February.  The event was reported in the following places.
